On April 30, 2016, Marburn Academy held its 34th Annual Gala and raised more than $100,000 for student scholarships. The event, held at the Ohio Union, featured a buffet dinner, live auction, silent auction, a gift card pull and wine pull. Alumni speaker, Kate Morrison, and Marburn High School student, Hannah Hess, delivered tear-jerking speeches that told of their personal struggles and how Marburn has played a role in their triumphs.
The event, which brought in record-breaking attendance, also raised a record-breaking number of gifts. During its Gift of Learning auction alone, more than $100,000 was contributed to help provide needs-based scholarships.
