Marburn On-Demand (MOD) is an eLearning portal for adults seeking to expand their knowledge about the specific academic needs of children who learn differently. This interactive, virtual classroom offers critical information on reading development and potential stumbling blocks for a child’s journey to literacy.

There is a $49.00 registration fee for Marburn On-Demand that includes:

  • Unlimited access to the courses below

  • Certificate of Completion (10 contact hours) for the Parent Subscriber Course, verified by an Orton-Gillingham Fellow*

*Certificate must be requested by the user upon completion of the Subscriber Course. Email to request a certificate, which will be issued upon verification of course completion.

Building Literacy in Beginning and Developing Readers (Grades K-5)
This course guides parents and educators of K-5 students on how to best support beginning and developing readers who may be struggling. As learners progress through the course, they will build awareness about the following topics:

Marburn Parent Subscriber Course: An Introduction to the Orton-Gillingham Approach (Grades K-12)
This course is designed for caregivers of children with dyslexia who wish to learn about the Orton-Gillingham (OG) teaching approach. The course also serves as an introduction for those considering formal Orton-Gillingham training through Marburn's OG Teaching Internship or Summer Associate-Level OG training**.

Subscriber course topics include:

  • Characteristics and Case Studies of Learners with Dyslexia

  • Principles of the Orton-Gillingham Approach

  • Neurobiology and Language Processes of the Brain

  • Production and Processing of Language

  • Structure of the English Language

**Completion of the Marburn Parent Subscriber Course does not qualify the user as certified in the Orton-Gillingham Approach; rather, it indicates that the user has taken coursework in the OG Approach.
