Wow, what a night! 398 participants joined together both in person from the Lincoln Theatre and online from the comforts of home on April 23rd to celebrate 40 years of Marburn Academy and the students we serve.
Participants enjoyed pre-program entertainment including music from the Rick Brunetto Big Band, and a signature cocktail demonstration led by Marburn’s own Scott Burton. The program took a peek into the archives and celebrated Marburn’s rich history, and honored Brian Hicks with an inaugural Award for Advocacy that will bear his name. A student story of triumph stole the show and guests were introduced to initiatives that will propel Marburn into the future.
As the lights faded on the Lincoln Theatre, an astounding $314,690 was raised to help students who learn differently in the form of need-based student scholarships and program enhancements. And, the contributions continue to roll in.
Thank you to everyone who made the event possible including our sponsors, in-kind donors, gift of learning donors, Host Committee, Gala Committee, presenters and emcees, MPTO, and teams of people behind the scenes who brought visions to life, and helped to ensure that families who need Marburn are able to access services.
