Marburn Academy and Hicks Partners Logos

Marburn Academy, in partnership with Hicks Partners, has been working diligently to advocate at the legislative level to increase the amount of scholarship funding available to families through the Jon Peterson Special Needs (JPSN) Scholarship and the Autism Scholarship. Considering the limited funds available within the state this year, Marburn knew this would be a challenge. Fortunately, we are thrilled to share that following Governor DeWine’s signature as of July 1st, Ohio passed its biennium budget that included a 4.8% increase to JPSN Scholarship and the Autism Scholarship, which will take effect starting this upcoming school year.

Most Marburn Academy students are identified in Category 2 (SLD and/or OHI), which means that through the JPSN Scholarship, they will now receive, $13,069 next year. However, all JPSN Scholarship categories were positively impacted, as shown below. The Autism Scholarship also received an increase, with families set to receive $34,000 next year.
