Anthony (Tony) Carstens is CEO of Fischer-Backus. Tony started applying his engineering skills in the manufacturing sector, initially at Parker Hannifin Corporation, but eventually, he moved into supporting engineering work within the auto industry, initially at HiSAN, Inc., supporting Subaru and Toyota brands, and then at Honda of America MFG, Inc.

Tony ventured out into the manufacturing sector as an owner of Fischer-Backus, a small manufacturing business specializing in custom cable and wire harness assemblies, in 2007. He has acquired several other small manufacturing companies, including Paradise Cable Industries of Venice Florida, DaTech2 of Columbus, Ohio, and Paramount Manufacturing Company of Pompano Beach, Florida.

Tony and his spouse, Cyrstal, are the former parents of a Marburn student.
