Shaun C. Yoder is a nationally recognized leader in education policy, strategy, and partnerships, with a 25-year career dedicated to transforming learning opportunities from early childhood through postsecondary education and workforce development.

In 2024, he founded SYC Strategies to drive innovation by engaging leaders across government, advocacy, philanthropy, and industry to break down barriers between high school, higher education, and career pathways. Through SYC Strategies, Yoder works with clients to co-design bold, scalable solutions that expand access to high-quality education and workforce opportunities.

Previously, Yoder served as Chief Strategy Officer and Director of External Partnerships at the Ohio Department of Education & Workforce, where he led the development of the state’s strategic education plan and built innovative public-private partnerships to drive implementation. Among his key initiatives, he helped establish a groundbreaking collaboration with the Cleveland Browns and Harvard University’s Proving Ground to create the Stay in the Game! Attendance Network, a statewide effort to improve student engagement and reduce chronic absenteeism.

As a first-generation college graduate, Yoder believes deeply in education as a catalyst for opportunity and economic mobility.
