Marburn Academy is for students who learn differently.
We serve students with average to above-average intelligence who struggle due to a specific learning disability in reading, writing, and/or math, ADHD, and executive functioning difficulties. Our student profile is linked below for families to learn more about specific challenges/diagnoses.

We approach the IEP process differently.
Integrated into the overall program, students stay with their classmates, rarely missing general education content – they often enjoy – for intervention. Instead, we strategically place opportunities for intervention and accommodations throughout the day, including an intervention period called “Panther Block,” which is focused on each student’s academic needs. This could include anything from Orton-Gillingham to math intervention, writing intervention to comprehension. We partner with our families to ensure the needs align and directly target students identified needs. A cornerstone of our program, as 1 of only 19 programs certified by the Orton-Gillingham (OG) Academy globally, is that we’ve placed trained OG faculty throughout all classes.
We also recognize the importance of keeping the IEP current, and therefore, one of Marburn Academy's IEP liaisons will partner with the family to both attend the annual IEP meeting and work with the districts to record progress and advocate for the needs of the student.
The best way to learn and understand the Marburn difference is to see it for yourself. Marburn offers two different ways to visit.
